Voices 2003

18min.

This is a shot film on the anti-war movement in the UK. The movement started developing before the bombing of Afghanistan and grew to be the biggest ever peace movement in the UK. Between 1.5 and 2 million people marched in London on February 15, 2003 for peace and against the imminent attack on Iraq. This was the biggest ever peace march in the UK. What is also unprecedented about this movement is that it developed before a war had even started. The film features an exclusive interview with Noam Chomsky and is constructed as a music video. It aims at giving a flavor of the time and a feeling of the spirit that moved a mass of determined pacifists in the UK. 2003. UK. 8'. production by Paola Desiderio
