Owned gives the viewer a glimpse into the ecusive world of computer hacking. Tracing the history from the phone phreakers of the 1960s through the modern day computer hackers, it provides a face and a voice to the hacker handles and shows a diversity in the hacker community. We watch as a stereotypical hacker sits at his computer and hijacks web pages and also visit the Defcon convention in Las Vegas as hundreds of hackers gather to exchange information
