Weekend passe-partout € 35,- day tickets € 20,-

International visitors can reserve a festival pass and tickets via tickets@n5m.org.

The passe-partout gives entrance to all events in the festival weekend, in all venues. Tickets for single programs are not sold, except for the evening performance programs.

LOCATIONS

Next 5 Minutes is a production of De Balie, Center for Politics and Culture , together with Melkweg, Paradiso, Waag Society, Imagine IC, Netherlands Media Art Institute and Salto in Amsterdam.

Festival venues:

The three main festival venues are very close to each other around Leidseplein, the vibrant center of Amsterdam. They are very easy to reach with public transportation. (route) (map)

INFORMATION DESK

The festival information desk is located at de Balie, 1st floor.
Here you can buy your festival passe-partout, the reader, t-shirts, get info about the latest programme changes, book a slot in the TAZ, etc.

PUBLIC INTERNET

Except for two terminals in De Balie, there will be no public internet computers in the venues.

However, you can plug in your notebook in De Balie (1st floor). A public wireless network is available in De Balie and possibly elsewhere. The festival desk sells wireless pcmcia cards for around 35 €. If you need a public terminal, you will find several internet cafes in walking distance.

HYBRID MEDIA STUDIO

Independent webcasters, videoreporters and the like can setup their equipment in the Hybrid Media Studio in De Melkweg on Thursday 11th. The studio will be open every day until 03am. Tables, broadband internet and 220V are provided.

The Journal editorial team, also in the Melkweg, welcomes written festival reports, interviews as well digital photos and audio and video reports.

STREAMING VIDEO

All major events during the festival weekend will be archived as streaming and downloadable video. They will be available the next day from the journal section from this website. A selection will also be livecast. Watch the programme schedule for live videostreams.

CAMPSITE

We organise a campsite at the beautiful terrain of artists initiative Buitenland, just outside the city, between a lake and a forest.

Maximum 150 people can stay here from September 10th till September 19th.
After the festival weekend, this is where the N5M4 Extended - friendly post-festival networking environment is located.

On Friday September 19th there will be a farewell afterparty.

Facilities

Three large army tents with stretchers, mattresses and sleeping bags. Showers & bathrooms, excellent food in the affordable canteen, bar open till after midnight. Electricity, and some internet connection.

Costs

€ 10,- per night, own tent, including a healthy breakfast
€ 12,50 per night in army tent, including breakfast (limited amount)
€ 15,- once, for hiring a bed with sleeping bag (limited amount)

public transport: from Leidseplein: bus 197: leaves once every hour at x.00h until 00.00h
It's a beautiful 30 minute biketour to the campsite, so consider renting a bike.
