Soda_Jerk is an art collective established in 2002. It is comprised of sisters Dan and Dominique Angeloro, who are currently based in Berlin.

For the last decade Soda_Jerk have been working with audiovisual samples to create speculative narratives that trouble existing formulations of history, culture and politics. In their work, dominant accounts of cultural history are approached as semi-fictional mythologies that attempt to colonise and control the future. By strategically reimagining the recent past, the artists are interested in producing competing counter-mythologies that could open new possibilities for the present. Primarily taking the form of video installations and video performance lectures, their archival image practice merges the zones of research, documentary and speculative fiction.
